CFA:

The Chartered Financial Analyst designation is a three year program covering all aspects of investment management. A description would be rather involved, so I will let the organization that grants the Charter explain it.

I (Greg Merrill) passed level III in June 1997 and am awaiting my CFA designation. Hopefully this section will help those who are also studying for the CFA. There are some links to other CFA pages, as well as some information I produced for a study group I am involved in. Those who aren't CFA candidates may find the reading educational.

The CFA program is an excellent means to learn quite a bit about the inner workings of the financial world. It is not easy however. Be prepared to spend several hours a week for 6 months for at least three years. The reading and work is substantial but worth it.
